about

A couple of years ago, I named a track and a whole single "Bad Times”. The name just popped up in my head without any deeper reflection. Since the release of this single, it has become the temporary title for multiple works in progress with pieces being named "Bad Times 2", "Bad Times 3”, and so on. The title has been gaining more and more meaning as if charged with the horrid everyday news. "Hiraeth" contains too many such pieces…

Treat this record as another part of a somewhat abstract musical diary. Although it was recorded during a 10-day quarantine, it is not yet another pandemic album. I must admit though that this experience has resulted in me being unusually focused on music-making, indulging in multiple lengthy improvisations each day.
